Meet "my house"

Our Children

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. ~ Psalm 127:3-5

Dani, Mitch, Jaci, Chandler, & Robin

Dani is our eldest daughter and first home school graduate of the family. She married Mitch in June 1997. He was a traveling evangelist that ended up planting his feet here as our associate and worship pastor. We think they only hired him to keep her, our worship leader, here. :-) Whatever, we were really glad to have them around. Especially when our grand-girls, Jaci (pronounced J.C.), Chandler and Robin came along. They were all born at home, into the hands of their loving MeMo (me!) Their family moved on to a Senior Pastor position 3 hours away a few years ago, but are now in traveling ministry full time with a home base back here.

Brandi, Jon, Jayden, & Jocelyn

Brandi is next eldest daughter and home schooled alumni.  She is a loving SAHM to Jon, Jayden & Jocelyn. Brandi has always loved the outdoors and ocean animals, and lived in Florida for a while amongst her dream.

Sami & Jake

Sami loves communication! She enjoys reading, writing, and talking. She homeschooled all her life. She works in finance, has her AA in business administration, and is working toward her BA in library technician. Sami married Jake this summer (2008). He works for the railroad also, so she will be staying in North Platte, which is a joy to us.

Ashli, Mark, Justus & Merci

Ashli loves singing and playing keyboard and was in our youth worship band. She leads the children's ministry at church, which she has taught in since she was 11 or 12. She also enjoys leading young girls in discipleship, and cooking and baking. She homeschooled all her life and enjoyed it's flexible schedule so that she could have more time to work on ministry.  She loves children and hopes to have many.  Ashli and Mark, (yes, 2 Marks in the family does get confusing at times,) have Justus and Merci, and now being a Wife and Mommy is Ashli's primary ministry.  We are blessed to have them living only 3 blocks away.

Mykayah Joelle (1990)

Mykayah was only with us 3 short hours after her birth, but she is greatly loved and missed.

Amariah Faith

Mari loves to read, especially classical literature, and can usually be found curled up in a hiding place with a book (especially when it's time to do chores).  Ballet, Piano and Drama are her other loves. She has taken ballet and pointe for several years, piano for a couple of years, and last year got her first part in a community playhouse production. She also plays keyboard for our church services. Oh, and she loves to debate theology. Her new favorite author is Francis Schaeffer.

Levi Reuben

Our #1 son was the spitting image of his dad. Now, well, he's growing up. He’s showed us that, "Yes there is a difference." All boy, but was born with an awesome spirit of worship and warfare. He plays soccer and baseball and now, football and basketball too.  He also helps his dad remodel and prefers being outdoors, biking, roller blading, skateboarding, jumping on the tramp or playing sports to book learning.  He is also learning to hunt now. As the oldest boy, he can't let Isaiah beat him in any of the "extreme" feats Isaiah attempts.

Isaiah Johanan

Isaiah was conceived and born into revival. He lived in the prayer room and worship platform both before and after birth. He was the happiest kid you’ve ever seen, and once we get that energy channeled right, he will do great exploits for God. Right now he just does amazing feats, like climbing the ladder to the roof of the house when he was 15 months and backing the Suburban out of the driveway when he was 2.  More recently the climbing has been to the top of the tower over our swingset and jumping off with a rope swing attached to the tree.  And now we have a trampoline and zipline too!  He plays baseball and soccer, football and does gymnastics too.

Shekynah Glori

When I was pregnant with Shekynah, Ashli was sure she was going to be a girl and have red hair just like her. She was right. The only difference is Ky has the temper to match the hair. Her favorite pasttime is eating, and she's just as likely to be found playing cars and Vikings with the boys as dressing up or having tea parties with the girls.

In her defense, I must update. She is learning to control her temper - and her eating. Even with all these boys surrounding her, she still loves her dolls, playing house, and now reading too. You will most likely find her playing paperdolls, or reading a good book, or listening to Patch the Pirate.

Jedidiah Mark

Was the happiest baby you've ever seen. Jed is decisive and determined. He really tries to not let his older brothers out-do him in anything, and doesn't like being left behind. He is really growing up, learning to read now, and enjoys being the oldest of the "younger" boys (including nephew Justus.)

Elisha Justyce

Our new "happiest baby", and so cute too! It is so great to have happy babies. Eli has decided to follow Jed's footsteps, as he follows the older 2 boys. He is the most active yet. Our home dynamics have sure changed from those days of only 5 little girls. Eli fends for himself, even when not necessary. :-/ But he's still very much a "mama's boy" and typical spoiled "last" child (not by mama!)
